Heavy Diesel Mechanic​/Diesel Fitter

Burton Demolition & Recycling is expanding and we’re seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Diesel Fitters to maintain our fleet of trucks, mobile plant and crushing equipment across our busy Burton operations.

We have multiple positions available across two operational areas:

Work on crushers, screens, loaders, excavators and heavy mobile plant in a high‑output environment.

Maintain trucks, loaders, telehandlers, excavators and recycling equipment across a fast‑paced processing site.

This is heavy plant and mobile equipment maintenance (not dealership or light vehicle work). You will be working on robust machinery in a fast‑paced operational environment where reliability and uptime are critical.

• Breakdown response and fault finding
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
• Repairs on loaders, excavators, crushers, trucks and mobile plant
• Safety inspections and compliance checks
• Maintaining accurate service records

• Trade qualification:
  Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Technology
• Strong experience with heavy plant, hydraulics and diesel engines
• Confident diagnostic and fault‑finding ability
• Ability to work independently in a busy operational environment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• HR Licence
• Experience in demolition, crushing, waste or recycling
