This full-time, long-term assignment is due to start after the Easter break and will run through until July, subject to clearance.
The school is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History specialist to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing and marking work in line with school policies, and contributing to the wider life of the department.
The role is Monday to Friday during standard school hours and would suit a committed teacher looking for a stable, long-term placement.

You Will Need to:
- Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Be confident teaching History across KS3 and KS4
- Have experience leading classes of pupils aged 11–16
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development
- Work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly
- Be enthusiastic, proactive, and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Be able to commute to Burton and surrounding areas
