Miller Industries – Quality Inspector – Burton, Michigan

At Miller Industries, we design, engineer, and manufacture custom products right here in the USA, at our locations in Fenton and Burton, Michigan, and with additional engineering support in El Paso, Texas. Our divisions—Miller Fabricated Systems, Flex Air, Miller Industries Representatives, and the MI Service Group—provide custom steel fabrication, commercial and industrial HVAC systems, and modular mechanical and electrical solutions. We are a primary supplier to automotive, healthcare, institutional, and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.

We Want

We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our 1st Shift at our Burton, Michigan location. The 1st Shift runs Monday‑Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional overtime on weekends as needed for production.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies against drawings and prints.
  • Initiate non‑conformance reports for any component not meeting drawing or specification.
  • Ensure manufactured units comply with quality control procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Request corrective actions when quality‑related conditions are repetitive.
  • Complete, inspect, and distribute all quality records and documents; perform specialized testing as required.

What Requirements Are Needed
  • High school diploma or GED and 3‑5 years of quality inspection experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with hand inspection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and knowledge of quality tolerances and dimensional inspection.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer skills are required.
