Director of HR

Chesapeake Search Partners has been retained by a behavioral health organization to recruit a Director of Human Resources. This role will lead the HR function while partnering closely with operational leadership to support performance management, workforce planning, engagement, and retention initiatives. The Director of HR will play a critical role in strengthening leadership capability, reducing turnover, and ensuring HR practices align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational values.

• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives to support scalable growth and a high-performance operating culture.
• Partner closely with Operations leadership to drive workforce planning, staffing execution, and field-level performance outcomes.
• Lead the company-wide performance management process, enabling leaders to drive accountability, productivity, and talent development.
• Analyze turnover drivers and implement data-informed retention strategies to improve workforce stability and reduce attrition risk.
• Serve as a senior advisor on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, compliance risks, and conflict resolution.

• Eight plus years of progressive HR leadership experience in a healthcare organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working within PE-backed businesses.
• Expertise in change management.
• Proven track record of partnering with field leaders.
