Preschool Teacher
Lifesteps, a local non-profit agency in Butler, PA is currently hiring a full-time (12 month) Preschool Teacher who will work Monday through Friday, daylight hours, to prepare children for kindergarten. Normal hours are 8 am until 4:30 pm at our childcare center - year round position.
This preschool teacher position will assist in the classroom with lesson planning, scheduling, and daily activities. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a quality-driven, developmentally-appropriate early education experience that supports all children regardless of their diverse abilities, and their families.
This position will also serve in the capacity of Assistant Group Supervisor (child care staff) as needed to meet ratio in a particular classroom and float throughout the different preschool classrooms, if needed in Butler center.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Family Studies, History, Art Therapy, or a Related Field, AND ability to obtain Private Academic License through the PA Dept of Education
- Previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years is preferred
- Valid Driver's License and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Clearances required
