Part-Time Junior High Religion Teacher

We are seeking a faith-filled and engaging Part-Time Junior High Religion Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster students’ spiritual growth while delivering meaningful and age‑appropriate religious instruction aligned with Catholic teachings. This individual will help create a classroom environment that encourages reflection, respect, and a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.

• Plan and deliver religion instruction aligned with Catholic doctrine and diocesan guidelines
• Foster students’ spiritual development through prayer, discussion, and reflection
• Create a respectful, inclusive, and faith‑centered classroom environment
• Encourage students to live out Catholic values in their daily lives
• Assess student understanding and provide feedback on progress
• Collaborate with school staff to support the mission and goals of Butte Central
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed regarding student growth and participation
• Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith‑based activities
• Uphold and model Catholic values and the mission of the school

• Bachelor’s degree (Education, Theology, Religious Studies, or related field preferred)
• Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred)
• Experience working with junior high‑aged students (preferred)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to Catholic education and student faith formation
