- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in oil and gas construction (EPC or Projects related to Oil and Gas field). Experience in Auditing activities as a lead Auditor.
- Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, QMS, and relevant construction codes and standards.
- Knowledge of site construction processes, welding, materials, NDE methods (RT, UT, PT, MT), hydrotesting, Electrical & Instrumentation, GRE, Civil etc.
- To ensure effective implementation of the
Quality Management System (QMS
) and project-specific quality requirements in
oil and gas construction projects
, ensuring all
civil, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation construction activities
meet client, regulatory, and code requirements. - Implement and maintain project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) specific to oil and gas construction activities.
- Prepare Quality Manuals, System Procedures, Quality Objectives, KPI’s
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate with construction teams, clients, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
- Perform surveillance on site construction activities, including civil works (foundations, trenches), mechanical (piping, equipment erection), structural steel erection, and E&I installations to ensure compliance with approved procedures and project specifications.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with project and ISO 9001 QMS requirements on Projects
- Monitor and analysis Non-conformances, Quality Observations etc.
- Coordinate with client representatives and third-party inspectors for activities related to internal /external and client audits.
- Participate in the preparation and review of project-specific construction quality procedures, method statements, and ITPs.
- Control and manage non-conformities (NCRs) raised during construction activities, ensuring timely logging, tracking, and closure.
- Participate in root cause analysis for site quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct Tool box talks/Trainings related to QMS requirements.
- Ensure that construction activities adhere to client specifications, project drawings, ASME/API standards, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Support quality awareness programs for site supervisors, construction crews, and subcontractors to maintain a quality-focused culture at the construction site.
- Ensure calibration of inspection, measuring, and test equipment before use on site.
- Experience in managing non-conformities, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions in construction environments.
- Strong documentation and report writing skills
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and project specifications.
