Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures, with ARDMS registry and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based ultrasonography department
- Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; ABIs, segmental pressures, echo, and breast ultrasound are not required
- 4x10-hour day shifts with after-hours call and rotating weekend shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Responsibilities include operating ultrasound imaging equipment, positioning and immobilizing patients, coordinating examinations for timeliness and quality, and submitting images with clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
- Communicates openly with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
- Practices sterile technique and adheres to infection prevention policies
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in the Intermountain system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Background check and drug screen required; candidates should plan to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Associate's degree required
- Active ARDMS registry required; license required if applicable
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start)
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
