AWARE is looking for the right person to join the team as an intensive stabilization residential specialist. Responsibilities- Participate in outing planning and transportation.
- Monitor staff compliance with policies, procedures, training expectations, and protocols.
- Assist in investigating accidents, injuries, or other incidents requiring employee interviews and the preparation of statements.
- Provide training on treatment principles, including behavioral interventions, and generally assist the residential coordinator as needed.
- At least three years of experience, or an associate degree in a Human Services field, or a bachelor’s degree in any field plus a minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in Human Services.
- Under AWARE’s Unconditional Care Philosophy, implement individual support plans using behavioral techniques, interventions, skill‑building techniques, and an understanding of the emotional and behavioral needs of individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability.
- Computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and use basic computer skills needed for performance‑based software and an electronic medical records system.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, make accurate observations, report them, learn resident care methods, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Competitive compensation ($20.00–$22.00 per hour) plus an additional $7.00 per hour stipend for scheduled shifts in the intensive stabilization group home.
