Experience in performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures, excluding ABIs and segmental pressure.
Description:
In this position, the Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications.
Responsibilities include transferring patients for examinations and assisting with the ultrasound examination process.
The Sonographer is responsible for the appropriate operation of all ultrasound imaging and related equipment.
The role involves educating, positioning, immobilizing, and performing ultrasound procedures.
Coordinating ultrasound examinations is essential to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
The Sonographer must understand and follow provider imaging orders correctly.
Submitting required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation is a key task.
Evaluating image quality appropriately is required.
The role demands open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
The Sonographer will utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies appropriately.
Practicing sterile techniques and following infection prevention policies is essential.
The individual must have the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
Safety while performing ultrasound procedures, including patient transfer, is crucial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
The ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team is required.
Experience in using computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, is important, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
