Job Description
The Supervisor of Recruiting and Retention advances St. Peter’s Health’s vision by leading forward-thinking Talent Acquisition and Retention strategies that strengthen the caregiver experience and support organizational performance. This role serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, aligning recruiting and retention initiatives with SPH’s strategic priorities, People First philosophy, and long-term workforce planning goals.
The Supervisor brings deep knowledge of national workforce trends, best practices in employee experience, and innovative talent strategies. They anticipate evolving workforce needs and guide transformational change through disciplined goal-setting, measurable outcomes, and collaborative partnership. This leader builds highly engaged relationships with caregivers, providers, executives, and community partners, operating with a mindset of collaboration, curiosity, and design thinking.
Accountable for performance and outcomes, the Supervisor uses data‑driven decision making to evaluate recruitment effectiveness, candidate experience, workforce expenses, and retention indicators. They leverage process improvement, project management, and change management methodologies to create seamless, compliant, and financially responsible talent acquisition systems. This role ensures adherence to SPH policies and regulatory standards, including DNV, OSHA, and applicable federal and state hiring requirements.
The Supervisor oversees recruiting team operations, employment branding initiatives, vendor partnerships, recruitment technology, and screening events. They mentor recruiters, support wage‑setting coordination with Compensation and Workforce Advisory Team, and actively partner with leadership to design and implement innovative talent programs that strengthen workforce stability and engagement.
This role continuously evaluates performance metrics, benchmarks against leading practices, and identifies breakthrough solutions that enhance employee experience, patient experience, financial stewardship, and quality outcomes—ultimately ensuring SPH attracts, selects, and retains exceptional talent to serve our community.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCEThe ideal candidate will offer a minimum of 3 years related talent acquisition experience with management or consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in talent acquisition and onboarding.
EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma, HiSET or GED equivalent required. Healthcare experience required. Associates or higher in HR Management, or equivalent experience in healthcare related recruiting, required. Experience coordinating teams preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRYSHRM-CP, PHR or SHRM-SCP preferred. Current Montana State driver’s license and excellent driving record is required.
