Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Butte, Montana.

We're looking for Labor and Delivery RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Butte, MT. The right RN should have 3 years' recent acute care experience.

• Provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery.
• Ensure medical and emotional needs of patients are met throughout the birthing process.
• Assist physicians with epidural or pain medication administration, episiotomies, and cesarean deliveries.
• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after birth.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.

Physical requirements:

stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; able to lift 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must be able to cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

• BLS
• ACLS
• AWHONN
• NRP
• 3 Years acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
