The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana Chemical Dependency Center.
This position is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for supervising nursing services for MCDC after normal business hours. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, monitoring and evaluating nursing services, providing immediate assistance when needed, client care consultation, and problem solving and decision-making during crisis situations. This role also can entail coordinating and reviewing unusual incidents, patient grievances, complaints, and allegations of abuse.
This position provides direct supervision for professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and treatment technicians.
This position is expected to work a 4-10 hour evening/night shift schedule with variability to attend trainings and/or meetings.

Qualifications for this Career OpportunityKnowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning.
Knowledge of patients’ rights regarding medical treatment.
Ability to direct personnel.
Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Montana
Two years of professional nursing experience
One year of supervisory experience preferred
Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
