Job Summary: The primary responsibility of a Yard Associate is to receive, stock, label, and track materials entering and exiting the yard as well as loading customer orders.

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Unload and load trucks and/or customers accurately in accordance with invoices.
• Organize, label, and store materials in accordance with protocols.
• Safely operate equipment and follow company policies.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo, put materials in the designated return area, and ensure return to vendor.
• Listen to and assist customers.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Participate in company functions and meetings.

• Union membership is required.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work in the elements.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 80+ pounds at times.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the job.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Pays close attention to detail and a quick learner.
• Possesses a high level of initiative.
• Able to follow directions and work as a team.
