Responsibilities of the Outside Sales Engineer:
The Sales Engineer owns the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, qualifying opportunities, conducting on-site demonstrations, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and closing new business.
This individual must be comfortable developing new markets, initiating cold outreach, and expanding existing accounts while maintaining long-term customer relationships throughout the product lifecycle.
The role also requires participation in trade shows, conferences, and industry events, as well as maintaining accurate activity and pipeline data within a customer relationship management system.
Requirements of the Outside Sales Engineer:Strong self-starter with the ability to independently generate and develop new business.
Solid understanding of industrial or materials processing technologies.
Comfortable installing and demonstrating equipment at customer sites.
Organized and analytical with the ability to manage a high-activity sales pipeline.
Experience supporting technical proposals and customer-facing documentation.
