Social Studies Teacher, 7th Grade

Job Description

MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic 7th Grade Social Studies Teacher to join the instructional staff at Bonny Eagle Middle School
. The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom; motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child; and respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

Applicants for this position must have:

• degree(s) required in major area of study
• Maine Department of Education certification with a #020 endorsement
• experience related to instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned
• demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues
• evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth

Salaries and benefits may be found on the District website in the Agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.

Salary scale based on Bachelor’s.
