Art Teacher Position

MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic art teacher to join its instructional staff at Buxton Center Elementary School for the  school year. The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom; motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child;

and respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress. Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study;
Maine Department of Education certification in content area (#620 endorsement); experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth. Salary and benefits are competitive, and the information may be found in the collective bargaining agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association located on the District's website.
