Injection Molding Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production cycle, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
• Document production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered during shifts.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment malfunctions and quality concerns.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Basic understanding of machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as work orders and blueprints.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
• Certification in injection molding or plastics manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment (preferred).
• Familiarity with computerized machine controls and data entry systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment (preferred).

Demonstrates expertise in operating injection molding machines, ensuring product quality and compliance with safety protocols. Proficient in troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency.
