Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in management, P&L management, inventory, budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
- Conflict resolution, organizational and analytical skills.
- Industry‑related work experience or related field, including prior management experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Advanced knowledge of building code requirements for the fire protection industry.
- Negotiation skills for pricing and discounts with local vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- NICET III or IV preferred.
- Mobility required for in‑person client visits.
- Capability to use ladders, lifts, scaffolding and to enter confined spaces, attics, basements and crawl spaces.
- Visual and auditory acuity for documentation and interaction.
- Digital dexterity for PC use.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a drug test and security screening as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Work with department managers on planning and monitoring job costs and profitability of contracted work.
- Monitor activity, productivity, and accuracy of supervisors and employees.
- Assist with in‑service training for staff and support training and testing for staff certifications.
- Evaluate and discuss direct reports’ progress, strengths and weaknesses to aid professional growth.
- Review and reinforce standard operating procedures, addressing workplace behaviors that raise liability risk.
- Handle client disagreements regarding scope, site conditions, or dissatisfaction with tact, patience and integrity.
- Visit customer sites to monitor work progress and contract fulfillment.
- Train, coach, and develop employees.
- Maintain business relationships with current clients and promote new business through value‑added offerings.
- Ensure sales follow up on leads, cultivate new contacts, implement marketing strategies, and expand services.
- Assist in preparing proposals and estimates with sales executives.
- Ensure all site‑specific and company safety standards are followed.
