This position involves decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. The role also includes processing and packaging medical supplies, overseeing instrument inventories, preparing case carts for surgical procedures, and ensuring sterilizers operate correctly. The position requires careful attention to detail, technical expertise, strict compliance with safety protocols, and strong collaboration skills.

• Collect & handle used instruments, treating them with different chemicals to sterilize for future use
• Package, store, and distribute instruments, providing strong documentation as required
• Maintain records and update inventory to ensure all sterilized items are accounted for
• Coordinate and communicate with surgical teams to meet demand for sterilized equipment

• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is required
• Two or more years in Central Processing is required
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective communication
• Attention to detail & strong physical stamina
