2Nd Shift Experienced Cnc Machinist

Purpose: B&P Manufacturing is actively seeking a CNC Machinist to become a part of our Northern Michigan team. As a key player in our high-mix, high-volume machine shop specializing in Aerospace, Defense, and Material handling equipment, you’ll be working with materials such as Plastics, Carbon steel, aluminum extrusions and Stainless steel.

CNC Machinist

• Interpret customer prints and collaborate with team members to ensure precision
• Program CNC machines using CAM software as necessary
• Set up machines and monitor operations to guarantee accuracy
• Determine work holding and tooling required for each job
• Adjust machine settings, speeds, and cutting styles for optimal results
• Inspect finished products for quality and uniformity
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity

• High school diploma or equivalent
• US Citizenship
• Minimum one year of CNC machine operating experience
• Proficient in using tools and maintaining machinery
• Familiarity with Master Cam 2024 CNC software programming and interpretation

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to understand G-code
• Experience with 4 axis machining
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Familiarity with HAAS controls

• Competitive hourly pay: $20-$28 (+ $2.50 2nd shift premium), based on experience, attitude, and skill set
