Are you looking for a fun and varied job in hospitality? YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Hostel Manager!

This isn't just another hospitality role. Our hostel sits in an absolutely breathtaking location, surrounded by mountains, trails, big skies, and the kind of views people travel across the world to see. It's a place where sunrises stop guests mid-sentence, boots pile up by the door, and stories are swapped over mugs of tea after long days outdoors. We're proud of our YHA heritage - a legacy built on access, adventure, inclusivity, and community.

For decades, YHA has helped people explore wild places, connect with others, and feel welcome no matter who they are or where they're from. That spirit is still very much alive here. This hostel is more than a building. It's a basecamp, a meeting point, and for many guests, a lifelong memory.

We're looking for a Deputy Manager who doesn't just run shifts - but helps shape the experience for guests and the team alike. You'll work closely with the Hostel Manager to keep the hostel running smoothly day‑to‑day, while also being a visible, hands‑on leader who leads from the front. One minute you might be supporting a team member, the next welcoming walkers in from the rain, solving a problem, or making sure standards are spot on.

No two days are the same - and that's exactly the point.

Due to the location of the hostel, driving is essential.

  • Supporting the Hostel Manager by managing a team of employees and occasional volunteers.
  • Contributing to the team effort in the day‑to‑day operation of the hostel, undertaking housekeeping, reception, and food and beverage tasks on a daily basis.
