We are recruiting 3 Lead Therapeutic Practitioners at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £42,839 - £46,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and supportive team who are passionate about transforming the lives of children who live in our Caerphilly Residential Children’s Homes.

We work collaboratively with our partners to provide high quality psychological input to the children and their wider network. We strive to provide intensive, quality and value‑led interventions that support the mental health and well‑being of children with complex mental health needs.

The Lead Therapeutic Practitioner role involves working directly and collaboratively with children, their families, residential care workers, social workers, schools, psychologists, police and any other key adults or agencies who may be involved in supporting the child.

The Role , We Ask That You Have
  • A relevant Level 6 (Degree) professional qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • The ability to engage with and work openly and honestly with children, young people, their families and carers, and a wide range of partners and professionals.
  • Experience of working in a therapeutic way with children and families who have experienced trauma and who have complex mental health needs.
  • A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
