About The Role

Senior Support Worker

Salary: £30,368.00 based on 40 hours per week, plus potential sleep‑in allowance

- Assisting the manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings and inspections.
- Supporting children to achieve the best quality of life possible, for example by baking at home, organising fun days out or taking them on holiday.
- Ensuring the children are kept safe and their plans are suitable for their needs; monitoring development and keeping systems and records up to date.
- Taking part in the on‑call rota, averaging one on‑call per week, with an additional allowance.
- Patience, compassion and resilience; children may have experienced trauma that can affect behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – to update children’s plans and interact with a range of stakeholders.
- Valid driving licence – required to transport children to community activities; company vehicles provided.
- Flexibility – able to sleep at the home during shifts; the role requires 24‑hour support coverage.
- Ideally hold or obtain a residential childcare qualification within the first two years; training support and funding are available.
- Holidays – 28 days annual leave (bank holidays worked if rota requires).
