Residential Support Worker
Salary: £28,100 per annum (depending on experience and qualification) – plus an opportunity to earn an additional £4,200 per annum based on an average of 7 sleep‑ins per month

Hours:
Permanent, Full-time – 37 hours per week (on a rota basis, working days, evenings, waking nights and weekends)

About the roleQualified or currently working towards a level 3 in Health and Social Care, within this Residential Support Worker role, you’ll lead a team of support workers on shift, ensuring high standards of care and personalised support for the children and young people we support.
This will include supporting in the absence of the Registered Manager or Team Leader, supervisions of staff, case managing and assisting in the development of the service.
About the ServiceTan y Dre Residential Services is a 4-bed therapeutic residential home, where we provide medium to long term care for young people aged 9-18 years old with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The aim of this role is to support them with their transition in to safe and happy adults.
Our children receive a bespoke intervention tailored to their individual needs supported by a team of staff who are fully committed to understanding and meeting the child's needs and reduces the identified barriers.
Our therapeutic model will provide an environment where they will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries.
Our aim is to provide opportunities and experiences that widen the individuals sense of belonging through our individualised support.
How you’ll create brighter futures- Lead and supervise a team of support workers during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and effective teamwork.
- Conduct regular staff supervisions, offering guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster professional development and high‑quality care.
- Manage and oversee individual cases, ensuring care plans are followed and regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the children and young people.
- Assist in service development, contributing ideas and initiatives to enhance the quality of care and support provided.
- Recognised Wales Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care Practice CYP or currently working towards
- Experience of shift leading a team of support workers
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns as agreed via the rolling rota.
- Experience and training in safeguarding
- Experience of developing tailored care plans
