We are seeking a skilled Mobile HGV Technician to join a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in the Caerphilly region, working across South Wales.
This is an excellent
Mobile HGV Technician opportunity for an experienced professional looking to advance their career within a well-established business with over 100 years of service.
- Competitive pay rate of £22 per hour when working on a mobile basis
- Workshop rate of £19 per hour
- Standby payments of £15 per weekday and £25 per weekend day
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
- Fully equipped company van, fuel card, mobile phone, and diagnostic equipment provided during mobile weeks
- 20 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays

- Diagnose, repair, and recover roadside and on-site light and heavy goods vehicles
- Work on a 1 week mobile/1 week workshop rotation
- Mobile weeks involve being on call 24/7, performing breakdown recovery across CF, NP, and LD postcode regions
- During workshop weeks, carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs within the dealership workshop
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to clients
- Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer and industry standards
- Keep accurate records of repairs and diagnostics
- Use company diagnostic and repair equipment to identify faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience working across all levels of HGV maintenance and repair
- A current Class 1 HGV driving licence is preferred but not essential
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Health & Safety awareness
- Ability to provide own tools and fully equipped toolbox suitable for mobile repairs
