Job Summary

The LPN Supervisor - Belleville is responsible for providing clinical oversight and coordinating the daily operations of the nursing team within a specialty physician office. This role ensures efficient clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, high‑quality patient care, and exceptional customer service. The LPN Supervisor serves as a clinical resource and leader, supporting staff development through onboarding, education, competency validation, and ongoing coaching while promoting collaboration among the interdisciplinary care team.

Functions

and Duties
  • Provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight and direction for licensed and unlicensed clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care.
  • Coordinate daily clinical operations, patient flow, and staffing assignments to support provider schedules and maintain continuity of care.
  • Lead the onboarding and orientation of new clinical employees, ensuring competency validation, policy education, and successful integration into the practice.
  • Provide ongoing clinical education, mentoring, and coaching to support staff development, adherence to evidence‑based practices, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor clinical workflows to ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, infection prevention standards, and scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary departments to ensure coordinated, high‑quality patient care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff by providing guidance on patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and workflow processes.
  • Monitor the utilization, maintenance, and availability of clinical equipment and medical supplies to support efficient operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and performance monitoring to promote patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies, procedures, and standardized workflows.
  • Respond appropriately to urgent or emergent clinical situations, ensuring timely intervention and adherence to established protocols.
  • Address patient concerns related to clinical care and collaborate with providers to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration among providers, clinical staff, and support personnel.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Provide direct patient care, as needed, within the LPN scope of practice to support clinic operations during periods of increased patient volume or staffing needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a positive role model for clinical staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of clinical operations and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school for licensed practicing nurses.
Experience

Minimum two (2) years of experience supervising a multispecialty clinic, preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • CPR certification.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of IL healthcare standards and procedures.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements.
  • Able to manage relationships with employees and providers.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to use and strong knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (mask, gown, gloves) when required.
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required with assistance to push someone in a wheelchair.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
