Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Machine Operator
We are looking for an air duct machine operator
Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC duct machines used in manufacturing, installation, or maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. These operators ensure that duct systems are produced or installed correctly, safely, and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperating and monitoring HVAC duct machines to produce or install ductwork according to specifications.
Performing preventative maintenance on machines, including cleaning, belt replacement, and troubleshooting common issues.
Following safety protocols such as lockout/tagout, using PPE, and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area, ensuring equipment is in good condition.
Reporting defects in materials or processes to supervisors.
Completing daily production records and safety logs accurately.
Assisting in training new operators and ensuring compliance with manufacturing goals like output and quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: At least one year of factory or machine operator experience preferred.
Certifications: Forklift certification, understanding of manufacturing orders, and ability to use basic measuring/mechanical tools.
Physical abilities: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand, walk, and work in a plant environment with exposure to fumes, chemicals, and moving parts.
Language skills: Strong English reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
