The Cropping Systems team within Seed Product Development is seeking a Systems Research Agronomist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new cropping systems in partnership with a team of scientists from Corteva R&D and public partners, with a focus on long‑season environments in the southern US. Responsibilities will include design and analysis of multi‑crop, systems‑level agronomic trials, development of agronomic recommendations, and responsibility for research collaborations, farmer and agronomist interactions and business relationships.

Requirements
  • PhD or MS in agronomy, plant physiology, plant breeding or ecology, with experience in either South US systems or brassica crops.
  • Knowledge of and applied, in‑field experience with multi‑crop systems.
  • Experience with field research processes and data analyses and utilization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required for effectively developing strong internal and external working relationships, as well as working with farmers.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate experiments across locations.
  • Independent, highly motivated, and self‑directed scientist.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in varying environments to conduct field activities (such as data collection).
