Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team for hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Arrange and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support property management decisions
  • Prepare and file property tax returns.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide explanations.
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payment of property expenses.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for property accounts.
  • Manage lease accounting, including rent roll and lease abstracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate accounting.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software (MRI, Yardi or similar).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations related to property accounting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
