Insomniac - Merchandise Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who brings a passion for dance culture and a strong background in production finance and accounting.

Merchandise Accountant – responsible for month-end close, reporting, analysis and day-to-day merchandising accounting activities. Reports to the Senior Manager, Event Accounting.

• Oversee month-end close process for festival and e-commerce merchandise.
• Prepare journal entries for merchandise inventory, COGS, and accruals.
• Reconcile inventory, received-not-invoiced accounts, and artist royalty payments.
• Review, code, and approve AP invoices for merchandise-related expenses.
• Partner with the merchandise department on new initiatives and discrepancies.
• Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Streamline and create new processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in cost accounting and inventory management.
• Experience with Acumatica preferred.
• Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, and reporting software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments.
• Willing to work evenings and weekend hours as required.

• Salary pay range: $90,000.00 – $ USD.
