Staff Accountant

Volt is immediately hiring for Staff Accountant in Calabasas, CA. As a staff accountant you will:

• Prepare monthly journal entries, perform analysis, and complete account reconciliations to support accurate and timely month-end close.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, including maintenance of detailed supporting documentation.
• Ensure adherence to processing and reporting deadlines to maintain compliance requirements.
• Protect confidential, privileged, and proprietary information in accordance with company policies.
• Support business unit leaders by responding to financial data and reporting requests as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and validating financial statements and related disclosures.

This is a full-time HYBRID Direct Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Prior experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software or sub-ledger is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
• Understanding of ledger accounts is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning, and analysis skills are required.
• Strong relationship management, organizing, and customer service skills are required.
• Candidates are expected to meet multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, implement process improvement changes, and pay close attention to details.
• Candidates are expected to adapt and flex to a changing environment.

Pay Rate: $27.42 to $34.28 Hourly
