Testing Center Coordinator
Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Testing Center Coordinator. The Testing Center Coordinator manages daily operations within the Testing Center for Middle and High School students. Reporting directly to the Assistant Head of the Upper School, this non-exempt, hourly position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a temporary position beginning on August 24, for approximately 12 weeks.
Embodying Viewpoint's values of love, honor, excellence, imagination, and optimism, the Testing Center Coordinator advances the work of the divisions in the following areas:
Provide a Safe, Secure, and Supportive Environment. Maintain a quiet, structured, and welcoming testing space that minimizes anxiety while upholding strict testing standards. Enforce academic integrity protocols, ensuring an environment free of cell phones, smart devices, unauthorized notes, or outside assistance.
Coordinate Scheduling and Communication. Coordinate testing schedules, receive exam materials from teachers, remind students of upcoming testing appointments, and ensure completed exams are safely returned to faculty in a timely manner.
Facilitate Online and Offline Assessments. Administer both digital and paper-based tests seamlessly. Provide technical troubleshooting for online platforms, manage device setups, and securely catalog paper exams, answer sheets, and physical testing materials.
Collaborate with the Learning Specialist. Work closely with the Learning Specialist to understand, implement, and track individualized student testing accommodations (such as extended time, reduced-distraction settings, or assistive technology). Maintain flexibility and sensitivity to support the varied needs of all students.
Maintain Administrative and Testing Logistics. Maintain detailed records of assessment appointments, student attendance, exam completion logs, and accommodation tracking. Promptly address and escalate any academic integrity violations or testing irregularities to the Assistant Head of the Upper School.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Experience working skillfully and enthusiastically with middle and high school students, teachers, and staff.
- Strong collaboration skills with learning specialists and dynamic understanding of learning differences and accommodations.
- Strong communication skills across written and verbal modes to liaise effectively with teachers, students, and administration.
- Exceptional executive function, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in online testing platforms and basic educational technology troubleshooting.
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic school setting.
- Ability to listen while maintaining firm adherence to testing protocols.
- A track record of strong integrity, discretion, and strict confidentiality regarding student records and test security.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
