Admission Counselor, Pepperdine College of Health Science

The PCHS (Pepperdine College of Health Science) Admission Counselor reports to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management and assists in all aspects of recruitment and admissions for PCHS academic programs. As an in-person admissions counselor, the counselor will support the recruiting and admissions infrastructure for all PCHS programs across different work streams.

Responsibilities include:

systems and programmatic admissions cycle support; funnel dashboard and reporting maintenance; prospect outreach; application gathering; conducting information sessions; and, representing PCHS at college fairs, conferences, campus programs, or any virtual recruiting events. The counselor will use NursingCAS, CSDCAS, CASPA, Slate, Sales Force, and various Pipeline and Admissions tracking Excel tools to manage and track admissions data.

The PCHS Admission Counselor supports recruiting efforts focused on undergraduate and graduate PCHS programs, including application review and initial decision, and representing PCHS and Pepperdine at high schools, community colleges, college fairs, conferences, campus programs, or any other recruiting events

• Provide comprehensive support for prospects (undergraduate, graduate, and transfers) by making calls, emailing, mailing, and face to face contact.
• Provide preadmission advising to prospective students and families, including guidance on admissions requirements, academic programs, student life, spiritual life, and the application process; conduct preliminary transcript and academic record reviews to assess coursework, prerequisites, transfer credit, and program eligibility.
• Monitor applicant activity throughout the funnel to increase completion and yield conversions.
• Provide administrative support for the admissions process including communication with applicants for the completion of their admissions file and solves outstanding issues.
• Assist in arranging admissions interviews as warranted.
• Evaluate submitted documents to ensure the applicant meets all admission requirements for rendering a decision:
  As an evaluator, the counselor will be required to add/update submitted transcripts, test scores, degree audit report (DAR), and other admission documentation to appropriate systems (NursingCAS, CASPA, CSDCAS, Slate, Sales Force, People Soft, Etrieve, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Collaborate and consistently communicate with enrollment partners (Student Financial Services, Registrar, Student Services, , etc.), faculty and other stakeholders, and program committees throughout the admissions process to ensure seamless enrollment and positive experience.
• Maintain the various programs' admissions cycles and related admissions systems adaptations, in coordination with the Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management.
• Deliver presentations to prospective students at information sessions, one-on-one sessions, provide campus tours, and the like. Attend and support related recruiting events and fairs as appropriate.
• Monitor PCHS website to ensure accurate information regarding recruiting events, Final date to receive applicationss, admissions requirements and resources, and new program details as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
