Overview
Join our Funding team at Priority Financial Network! The Mortgage Loan Funder is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and funding residential mortgage loans in compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role ensures accurate and timely loan closings while providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. The position is located in our Calabasas corporate office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and review closing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with loan approvals, investor guidelines, and regulatory/compliance requirements (RESPA, RESPA tolerances, TILA and MDIA)
- Coordinate with borrowers, title companies, settlement agents, loan officers, and internal departments to facilitate timely loan closings within established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Prepares a complete list of all outstanding conditions and provides to Closing Agent, Processor and Loan Officer
- Verify satisfaction of all underwriting conditions prior to closing and funding
- Review final Closing Disclosures, settlement statements, and closing packages to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Balance loan files with closing agents and authorize funding with warehouse bank in accordance with company policies
- Prepares an accurate and thorough funding package for post-closing team within 48 hours of funding
- Resolve post-closing issues and collaborate with post-closing teams as needed
- Maintain accurate loan records and documentation within the loan origination system
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage loan closing and/or funding, preferably in multiple states
- Some knowledge of the complete mortgage lending process from origination to investor purchase, including residential mortgage closing procedures, documents, and regulations
- Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA/Jumbo and Non-QM investor guidelines preferred
- Proficiency with Byte preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, and time management abilities
- Highly motivated and determined to succeed in a competitive, time-sensitive industry
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills
