At Priority, our Loan Processors are responsible for taking a file from Disclosures to Post-Closing while working with our in-house operations and sales teams. This includes obtaining, organizing, analyzing, and verifying documentation received such as income, credit, appraisal, title, etc. Processors are responsible for ensuring this documentation is complete, accurate and meets both company and agency/investor requirements. Our processors work directly with borrowers and other departments to obtain conditions and ensure the loan progresses smoothly so our Loan Officers can focus on generating new business.

Other duties include but are not limited to: accurate data entry into Byte Pro and our proprietary intranet; ability to keep an organized paperless loan file; clear and constant communication with all parties to ensure the loan file meets closing expectations while providing the highest level of service possible. At Priority, our Loan Officers are our clients too! We are looking for someone to complement and round out our Sales Team to create unstoppable duos!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and process Agency, FHA/VA, Jumbo, Non-QM and 2 nd Lien loan programs.
  • Accurately calculate income for all types of borrowers.
  • Request, review and verify all loan documents such as income, credit, appraisal, and title insurance, to ensure complete and accurate information is in the file before it is sent to underwriting.
  • Obtain verifications (VOE, VOA, Credit Supplements, SSA-89).
  • Order loan documents and coordinate with third-party closing agents and internal doc team to meet closing deadlines.
  • Prioritize and monitor daily workflow in order to ensure all loans are being worked on in accordance with company's timeline expectations.
  • Maintain constant communication with all applicable parties on status updates and/or changes.
  • Ensure any necessary and critical changes which require re-disclosure have been accurately notated and checked in the loan origination system for compliance purposes.
  • Flexibility to support team needs during peak periods.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Understanding of federal and state guidelines, rules, and regulations (RESPA, TILA, HMDA, etc).
  • Prior experience with FNMA/FHLMC;
    Non-QM;
    Jumbo, FHA/VA programs beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Byte Pro is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex tax returns to accurately calculate income for all types of borrowers.
  • Confidence in your own ability to explain, defend and negotiate file documentation directly with underwriting.
  • Ability to work independently to seek information using available internal and external resources (Internal Resource Center, Agency guidelines, search engines, verification websites, etc).
  • Able to think outside the box and contribute to loan restructuring conversations.
  • Must be a TEAM player and work well with Sales Staff providing utmost levels of customer service and an open line of communication.
  • Fraud awareness – able to identify potential red flags using Fraud Guard and other tools.
