Production Mixer

A Mixer Operator is responsible for the safe operation, accurate scaling of ingredients, and mixing in the proper sequence and set up for the industrial mixers that produce the cheesecake and toppings for all of our baked goods.

• Respectfully communicate with all co-workers.
• Pre-weighing and preparing raw baking ingredients.
• Combine dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers.
• Ensure product ingredients are mixed as the recipe specifies.
• Ensure product quality conforms to quality standards through the baking process.
• Ensure products are wrapped/bagged, and correct problems with machinery settings.
• Seal-out products with correct labeling for warehouse storage and shipping.
• Compliance with company-wide Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Meet all federal and state regulatory requirements and adhere to our SQF program.
• Assist in the training of mixing area helpers.

• Ability to perform repetitious work.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand up to 80% of shift
• Squatting, and pushing/pulling up to 30% of shift
• Twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting to 80% of shift

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is susceptible to common allergens present in our bakery facilities associated with the production of our World Class cakes and desserts. Some of these allergens are Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Tree nut, Peanut, and Coconut.

• High School diploma or GED
• 6 months prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Understanding of production procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices Teamwork and communication skills
• Meet all federal and state regulatory requirements and adhere to our SQF program
• Manufacturing or Food Handling industry knowledge
• Industrial Technical or Machinery experience
• Basic hand tool and computer user interface knowledge
• Food and Safety knowledge
