Senior Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to work on our backend systems and web applications that support our products. This role is backend-focused, with the ability to build full-stack features using Laravel and React
, and to collaborate closely with other backend engineers, mobile engineering, and product.

You’ll be joining a small team with multiple backend engineers. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable executing independently, contributing high-quality code, and collaborating closely.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP/Laravel
• Design and evolve RESTful APIs consumed by our iOS app
• Collaborate with other backend engineers on shared systems and services
• Work closely with the iOS engineer on API contracts and data shape
• Implement authentication, authorization, and core business logic
• Debug and resolve issues across backend and frontend layers
• Contribute to improving code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Participate in technical discussions and provide input on implementation approaches

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems for production applications
• Proficiency in PHP/Laravel or similar backend framework
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  , and integrating 3rd party API services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and relational databases (
  MySQL/ PostgreSQL
  ), including query optimization.
• Experience with queues, background jobs, async processing, caching and performance optimization
• Experience building frontend applications with React, Typescript
• Familiarity with state management (Tan Stack Query,, Zustand, Redux, etc.)
• Understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and build tools (Vite, Webpack).
• Comfortable working in a collaborative engineering environment with shared ownership
• Ability to take responsibility for your work while aligning with broader technical direction
• Strong debugging skills and a clear understanding of request → logic → data → response

• Experience integrating AI/ML services into production applications (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock)
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
• Experience with cloud platforms (
  AWS
  )
• Experience working in small, fast-moving teams
• Product-minded engineering instincts

This is a collaborative backend role
. You’ll work closely with other backend engineers and the Head of Engineering, contributing to shared systems and full-stack features. While autonomy is expected in execution, overall system ownership and architectural direction are managed collaboratively.
