Building Principal
Job SummaryThe Middle School Registrar assists the building principal managing student enrollment and maintaining accurate student records in compliance with district and state requirements. This position uses Infinite Campus daily to enter, update, and audit student data including demographics, attendance, schedules, grades, transcripts, and enrollment status.
The Registrar regularly meets with parents and students regarding enrollment, records, scheduling, and general student information, providing professional and responsive customer service. This role supports administrators, counselors, and staff by ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential to effectively support school operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of student enrollment, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in Infinite Campus
, including demographics, attendance, schedules, grades, transcripts, and enrollment status. - Verify and audit student data to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Process record requests and transfers in a timely and confidential manner.
- Meet with parents and students regarding enrollment, registration requirements, schedules, and general student record inquiries.
- Collaborate with counselors and administration to support student scheduling and course changes.
- Generate reports for administration, state reporting, testing coordination, and district needs.
- Maintain cumulative files and ensure proper record retention and confidentiality procedures are followed.
- Support attendance tracking and ensure accurate daily attendance documentation.
- Assist with student registration events, orientation, and scheduling processes.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service to students, families, and staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support school operations.
- Cover front desk in emergency situations.
- Cover for nurse or health tech if they are not available.
- Help with school type duties if it is necessary.
- Exercise administrative authority and perform such tasks as may be delegated by the principal.
- Make necessary administrative decisions in the absence of the building principal.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of activities and any issues that may arise.
- Assume responsibility for his or her continuing professional growth and development by attending in services or trainings.
- Seek assistance should emergencies arise.
- Represent the school district in a positive manner.
- Know and follow school district policy and chain of command.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the building principal in conformance with federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.
