[School Name] is seeking a skilled, versatile, and collaborative Music Accompanist to support our Choir, Band, and Orchestra programs. The accompanist will work closely with music directors to provide high-quality piano accompaniment during rehearsals, performances, concerts, festivals, and other school events. This individual plays an essential role in supporting student musicianship and enhancing the overall success of the school's music programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide piano accompaniment for choir rehearsals and performances
- Support sectional rehearsals and auditions
- Perform at concerts, festivals, competitions, and special events
- Collaborate with directors in preparing music for performances
- Attend scheduled rehearsals and performances according to the music calendar
- Maintain professionalism and build positive relationships with students and staff
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Advanced proficiency in piano performance and strong sight-reading skills
- Experience accompanying vocal and/or instrumental ensembles preferred
- Ability to adapt to various musical styles and performance levels
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students at the middle and/or high school level
- Flexible schedule to accommodate rehearsals and performances
This position shall be considered in all respects "employment at will". This is a timesheet position. Hours worked will be recorded on a timesheet each month and paid on the 25th.
