Engineering Manager
This role leads a small engineering team focused on the design, development, and improvement of water filtration products and manufacturing equipment. The position combines hands‑on engineering, team leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive product innovation, manufacturing efficiency, and overall engineering excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a small engineering team while driving accountability and performance
- Oversee design and development of new products from concept through prototyping, validation, and production
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership in mechanical design, machine design, and problem‑solving
- Design and develop custom machinery, tooling, and production equipment to support manufacturing
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost‑effective
- Lead testing efforts including test plans, data analysis, and design validation
- Troubleshoot complex product and equipment issues and implement long‑term corrective actions
- Ensure accurate engineering documentation (drawings, CAD, BOMs, specifications) and compliance with standards
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, product quality, and development cycles
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product development, R&D, machine design, or mechanical engineering
- 2+ years of leadership experience (preferred)
- Experience in water filtration, fluid systems, or related industries (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in CAD tools (Creo or Solid Works) with strong GD&T knowledge
- Strong background in mechanical analysis (stress, fluid flow, pressure, sealing)
- Experience with prototyping, test fixtures, and 3D printing
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacturability
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with ability to manage multiple projects
