Job Summary And Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional III role will deliver exceptional psychiatric treatment to patients and their loved ones. The position prioritizes the satisfaction of their patients by offering patient‑centered and high‑quality care. The responsibilities include evaluations, psycho‑education, group activities, planning for treatment, mapping out discharge, and providing therapeutic counseling help. They work to produce positive outcomes for their patients by using verified techniques in one‑on‑one, family, and group counseling sessions.

What

will you do in this role:
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and continuum of care providers.
  • Maintain professionalism and use good communication skills to interact with peers, staff, patients, and families, and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to maintain clear professional boundaries with peers, patients, and families. Provide education and guidance about state commitment processes, abuse reporting requirements, the duty to warn, and guardianship processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and role in hospital codes.
  • Serve as an educational resource to patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, payer representatives, and other parties as appropriate about behavioral services.
  • Review, coach, and help with the training of new staff/interns as assigned within approved practice and program guidelines. Participate in developing department goals and clinical programming.
