The Power Dispatch and Compliance Supervisor is responsible for leading the coordination between the company’s renewable energy plant fleet and the power grid (system operator), ensuring operational readiness, outage planning and alignment with grid requirements, as well as compliance with regulatory standards. This role is critical in optimizing plant dispatch, maximizing market revenue, and serving as the central compliance and stakeholder liaison.

  • Monitor the implementation of power dispatch strategies and compliance protocols for all renewable energy plants.
  • Monitor the implementation of standard operating strategy procedures and work instructions of all plants in the 1RE Group
  • Leads the creation and maintenance , ensuring effectiveness of an optimization model in ensuring that technical parameters are complemented with commercial goals to ensure that maximized revenue is achieved.
  • Track and maintain records for operations, such as NGCP load profile in comparison to actual loading, projected revenue based on the market prices, and other factors that affect operational systems.
  • Leads the coordination with the grid (NGCP) and AP Trading for real-time and day-ahead dispatch and outage planning.
  • Leads the coordination within Technology BU to manage and optimize their planned / unplanned outages.
  • Monitor and maintain records of daily facility operations through substation and plant management applications to assess and evaluate plant availability, reliability and efficiency.
  • Serves as the central liaison with NGCP for the planning, scheduling, and approval of Grid Operating and Maintenance Program (GOMP).
  • Ensures that expenses are within the approved budget by monitoring and controlling operations and manpower expenses (overtime). Monitors monthly expenditures for the team and provides variance explanations to Management as needed.
  • Reviews the consolidated submission of the day-ahead capability declarations of the plant fleet to the trading team
  • Ensures alignment between plant availability and market opportunities to maximize revenue generation.
  • Schedules and coordinates monthly meetings to discuss updates on KPIs, and other issues and concerns of subordinates pertaining to operations. Ensures that KPI’s are attained.
  • Optimizes outage schedules across the fleet to minimize revenue loss while maintaining grid and plant reliability.
  • Manages and monitors compliance with grid, market, and regulatory bodies (e.g., NGCP, DOE, ERC, PEMC).
  • Ensures regulatory requirements WESM/ERC/DOE reports are being submitted with complete details and on time.
  • Prepares and submits required reports, certifications, and declarations on plant operations and outages.
  • Provides technical insights on the perspective of operational strategies and compliances during asset acquisitions, new projects (greenfield/brownfield), and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance to ISO requirements and implements Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determination of Controls (ORMP)/Aspect Impact Assessment on operations.
  • Ensures that INYOvation projects for Central Operations are developed, approved, and implemented.
  • Participates in cross-functional planning to align operational goals with market and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentors and supervises a team of engineers and coordinators involved in dispatch, compliance, and market integration.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a
    Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering
    ; a
    Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s Degree is an advantage.
  • Must be a
    Licensed Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics and Communications Engineering).
  • Has
    extensive knowledge of the
    Philippine Grid Code
    ,
    Market Manuals (WESM Rules, Dispatch Protocol, WESM Trading), and a solid understanding of
    regulatory resolutions issued by
    DOE, NGCP, and ERC
    .
  • At least4 years of related experience in power industry,preferably in
    Geothermal, Hydro, Wind, or Solar power generation operations
    .
  • At least3 years of leadership experience
