FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Location: Manufacturing Facility

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate‑level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role requires a strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capability to support production efficiency and equipment reliability.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, manuals, and test equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting (I/O checks, fault identification, sensor verification)
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using a CMMS
• Follow all safety, OSHA, GMP, and company procedures
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and outside vendors as needed
• Mentor and assist Maintenance Technician I personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors
• Electrical systems (relays, sensors, VFDs, control panels)
• Pneumatic and hydraulic components
• PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment
• HVAC, compressors, and facility utility systems

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Basic PLC knowledge and industrial controls experience
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong communication and documentation skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical degree or trade school training preferred
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance certifications preferred
• Experience with CMMS systems preferred
• Ability to work shift schedules, weekends, and on‑call as required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
