Location: Manufacturing Facility
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate‑level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role requires a strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capability to support production efficiency and equipment reliability.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, manuals, and test equipment
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
- Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting (I/O checks, fault identification, sensor verification)
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using a CMMS
- Follow all safety, OSHA, GMP, and company procedures
- Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and outside vendors as needed
- Mentor and assist Maintenance Technician I personnel
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors
- Electrical systems (relays, sensors, VFDs, control panels)
- Pneumatic and hydraulic components
- PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment
- HVAC, compressors, and facility utility systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
- Basic PLC knowledge and industrial controls experience
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or trade school training preferred
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance certifications preferred
- Experience with CMMS systems preferred
- Ability to work shift schedules, weekends, and on‑call as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
