Position: Operator Support/Sanitation

The Findlay Family Group of businesses has been in operation for over 100 years and is currently in its fourth generation of family management with the fifth oncoming. Originally a local bread bakery, we grew into the largest plant bread producer on the East Coast of New Zealand. In the 1990's we further developed into manufacturing Panko breadcrumbs, Conventional Breadcrumbs and Batter coating systems.

Findlay Food Coatings LTD was established in the USA in 2013. We now have three Powder Blending sites in Idaho, primarily to produce specialist coatings for French fries.

Findlay is a Family-owned international company with a reputation for innovation, thinking outside of the box and delivering on our promises. Our head office is located at the edge of the world in Gisborne, New Zealand.

Operator Support / Sanitation

is shift work (we have 1 day shift and 1 swing shift) and could require overtime. You will be required to, but not limited to, do the following activities:

  • Clean all production areas following our Master Sanitation program and Manufacturing Supervisor guidance.
  • Assist cleaning of overall site.
  • Lift up to 55 lb. bags, boxes or containers of ingredients to be used in the blending process.
  • Accurately prepare ingredients for Production Runs.
  • Use scanners for inventory control.
  • Climb up and down stairs.
  • Kneel, stand, walk and lift to complete your duties throughout the shift.
  • Clean a facility where we are using fine powders.
  • Drive lift truck and possibly scissor lift (we will provide training and certification).
  • Ensure products adhere to the Final Specifications.
  • Provide Maintenance with concise information to assist in breakdowns.
  • Have effective Communication with entire staff.
  • Ensure Safe practices are observed by yourself and to lead others if bad practice is observed.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed and help ensure other operators are adhering to GMPs

Job Type: Full-time - 60 working day probationary period.

Qualification Questions

  • Do you have any Food Processing experience, and if so, how many years?
  • Have you completed High School or HS equivalent?
  • Do you have any experience with Forklifts?
Day Shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pmSwing Shift Monday
- Friday 2pm-10:30pm

This position is an entry level position intended as a steppingstone to our Manufacturing Operator position based on needs and performance.
