Injection Molding Maintenance Technician
Location:
Caldwell,
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Monday-Thursday
Job Summary
We are seeking an Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This role is responsible for mold and tooling changes, machine setup adjustments, and basic maintenance to ensure injection molding equipment operates efficiently and produces high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, start up, and troubleshoot injection molding jobs
- Perform mold, tooling, and material changes as directed
- Make machine setup adjustments to meet quality and production requirements
- Diagnose and repair minor maintenance issues on molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Perform basic preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Verify machine processes daily to ensure consistent product quality
- Support process improvements, cycle time reductions, and SMED initiatives
- Conduct inspections and measurements to ensure part quality standards are met
- Maintain equipment efficiency, safety, and reliability
- Operate a forklift safely and in accordance with company safety guidelines
- Collaborate with machine operators, quality teams, and supervisors
- Maintain 5S standards and organization within the work area
- Support the molding team to achieve production and quality goals
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work safely in a production environment with moving mechanical parts
- Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
