Job Overview
We are looking for a Material Controller to support a semiconductor construction project. This role will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing, and distributing project materials to ensure the right materials are available at the right location and time.
General Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, BOMs, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Track inventory, material locations, stock levels, shortages, and material movement using ERP systems, Excel, and project tracking tools.
- Coordinate material distribution to construction areas, including mechanical, electrical, cleanroom, and field installation scopes.
- Organize warehouse and laydown yard areas while ensuring materials are properly stored, protected, labeled, and preserved.
- Work with procurement, suppliers, logistics teams, subcontractors, warehouse teams, and site management to resolve material issues.
- Maintain material documentation, including delivery records, requisitions, BOMs, allocation logs, and compliance records.
- Support daily and weekly material status reporting, shortage tracking, and issue escalation.
Follow site safety, quality, and semiconductor-specific handling requirements.
- 2+ years of material control, inventory, warehouse, logistics, or construction material experience.
- Construction, industrial, EPC, semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech project experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Strong Excel, documentation, and inventory tracking skills.
- Ability to read or understand purchase orders, BOMs, packing slips, material specs, and basic construction documents.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced onsite construction environment.
- Forklift certification, OSHA 30, CPR/AED, or bilingual ability is a plus.
- Strong inventory control, material planning, shortage tracking, and material status reporting.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor construction material cleanliness, traceability, preservation, and quality requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with procurement, suppliers, logistics, subcontractors, field teams, QAQC, EHS, and project leadership.
