Maintenance Technician Night Shift

Darigold is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. As a member of the Idaho team, the Maintenance Mechanic will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Mechanic’s role is to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.

Schedule:

Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday from 5:00 pm–5:30 am

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
• Proficient in process instrumentation including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and calibration
• Read, understand, and troubleshoot using electrical schematics
• General electrical troubleshooting of 24 v, 110 v, 220 v, and 480 v systems
• Understand the theory behind process flow

• Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting PLCs, electrical controls, instrumentation
• Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic and hydraulic operations
• Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
• Must be available all days and all shifts
• Boiler and/or refrigeration experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to read and follow directions
• Must be able to monitor and inspect product and equipment and follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate
• Food background preferred, specifically dairy
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics) within consumer products
