Food Manufacturing Packer

General Laborer / Packer (Day & Night Shifts)

We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers/Packers to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will support a high-volume tortilla production operation by packaging products, operating packaging equipment, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring production goals are met.

• Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Package tortillas according to established specifications and production requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment, including Auto Baggers, Ilapak machines, and other automated packaging systems.
• Perform packaging line setup, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Program and verify date coding for bags and boxes.
• Review product specifications and packaging requirements through the ERP system.
• Monitor product quality, weights, sizes, and packaging accuracy.
• Accurately complete production records, machine logs, and downtime documentation.
• Use RF scanners and computer systems for inventory and production tracking.
• Assist with quality control activities, including pH verification, metal detection, and product inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with SQF, GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
• Rotate between workstations as needed, including packaging, boxing, cleaning, and line support functions.
• Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, machine operators, and team members to meet production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or food processing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food safety programs such as SQF, GMP, HACCP, and OSHA is preferred.

This position is based in a world-class SQF-certified tortilla manufacturing facility in Caldwell, Idaho. Employees work in a fast-paced food production environment with modern manufacturing equipment and are expected to maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, quality, and attendance.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $16.60 - $18.10/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
